Christian began working in the insurance business in 1998 and serves Hockensmith clients as General Lines Agent focusing on Life & Health Insurance. She also manages the day to day agency operations. Christian grew up in Scott County and graduated from Scott County High School. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown College and Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
Christian is active in the community. She is a two term President of the Georgetown/Scott County Chamber of Commerce. Christian is currently serving on the Legacy Council for the Markey Cancer Foundation and The Board of Directors for Scott County United. She is Past Board Chair for Leadership Central Kentucky, The Lexington Forum and The YMCA of Central Kentucky. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Scott County. In 2001 Christian was the founding Chair of the Pink Tie Gala and served in that capacity for four years, and later served as Co-Chair of Lexington Race for the Cure. Christian is a 2002 Graduate of Leadership Scott County, a 2003 Graduate of Leadership Central Kentucky and a 2005 Graduate of Leadership Lexington. In 2012 Christian was named Georgetown Scott County Citizen of the Year. She received the Lexington Forum Spirit Award in 2004.
Christian and her husband Neal love living in Central Kentucky. Christian is an avid runner, and enjoys traveling and skiing as often as possible.
