Mike Hockensmith is the President of The Hockensmith Agency. A long-time Scott County resident, Mike is a community leader. He is a three-term President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee. Mike is also a member of the Regional Board of Directors for Kentucky Bank, The Foundation Board for Bluegrass Community and Technical College and is a Past Chair of the Board of Trustees for the United Way of the Bluegrass. He currently serves as President of Scott County United. Mike's previous community service activities include service as the United Way's Fund Distribution and Campaign Chair, Co-Chair of Scott County's Vision 2020, Board Member of Bluegrass Tomorrow, youth sports and served as Board Chair for First Christian Church. Mike was named Georgetown Scott County Citizen of the Year in 2006.

When Mike isn't busy serving his clients or the community, he enjoys sports and physical fitness activities. In 2012, Mike and his wife Debbie celebrated their 30-year anniversary of agency ownership. Mike purchased the Johnson Agency in 1982, which was the predecessor of The Hockensmith Agency, Inc. Since that time, Mike has also acquired three other agencies.

Mike is a graduate of Georgetown High School and holds Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Kentucky. Mike and his wife Debbie are also the parents of two grown children.
